Robots That Vacuum and Mop
Robots that vacuum and clean offer the convenience of cleaning both dry and wet messes in one go and without the need to switch devices. They can also help save space when compared to two separate units, particularly in smaller living spaces.
A good combination bot must have impressive navigation and obstacle avoidance. Look for models that have docks that allow them to automatically empty their bins, fill their water tanks and wash the mopping pads.
1. Eufy S1 Pro
It's one of the easiest robots to set up that we've tested. Unpacking the S1 Pro is simple, and a quick-start guide will have you running with a clean, full dust bag, hard floor solution and water tank in a matter of minutes.
The S1 Pro is an incredibly powerful machine that can vacuum and mop well. The mops are spun at a high rate and employ 2.2 pounds (1kg of force) to swiftly remove dirt, pet hair and sticky dried spills. The vacuum cleaner comes with four power settings, as well as a selection of brushes and attachments, and an intuitive app that lets you select the type of cleaning you want for each room.
You can, for example, ask the robot to clean the kitchen and the living room thoroughly, but leave the spare bedroom alone. The S1 Pro has excellent front collision sensors as well as smart navigation technology. It is able to recognize small obstacles that other models can't. The only problem is that the robot is known to smash into walls and objects at full speed. However an inspection of the history of cleaning on the app will tell you precisely what the robot has completed, where it's traveling, and what obstacles it has stumbled upon or avoided.
The docking station features an LCD display that displays the time when maintenance is required for cleaning up debris and rinsing the dirty water tank. It also mixes detergent into the water tank in a controlled manner by using a 600ml eufy solution.
Both the S1 Pro vacuum and mop are able to run for a long time and the mop is capable of running for an 184-minute runtime in Quiet mode, and the vacuum capable of running for 136 minutes in standard mode before having to recharge or return to the base to replenish. And you can see the complete cleaning details within the app, which is clearly laid out and is easy to comprehend although we would like to be able distinguish between a vacuum and mop clean, when examining a cleaned area in the history of cleaning.
2. Roborock S8 Pro Ultra
The Roborock S8 Pro Ultra is the most recent version of the company's most popular robot vacuum and mop. Unlike last year's model, this one features an agitator that doubles in its mopping pad, which significantly improves its carpet cleaning abilities. The S8 Pro Ultra also has an improved suction capacity, allowing it to remove small hairs and other debris that other robotic cleaners might overlook.
robot cleaner amazon , just like the other two I tested is equipped with infrared and 3D obstacle avoidance technology to help it avoid obstacles such as walls, furniture and other obstacles. However, the S8 Pro Ultra takes things one step further by adding a dual camera which can detect objects and determine whether they are a wall or another surface. It then can alter its course automatically and clean the objects without missing a step.
It's the most expensive model I've tried however it also comes with the most features. Its sleek and angular design is eye catching, and it only has three buttons that are physically accessible. The power button, which restarts the cleaning mop function, a button for cleaning that doubles as a child lock and a home-button that can take the robot to its dock. Lifting the hinged lid reveals the 350ml dust bin as well as a 200ml water tank. The water tank is self-emptying and the bin auto-filling.
The only downside I've found with this model is that the VibraRise mop pad mount isn't removable. Although you can change the mopping cloth (if needed) however, it's a hassle to take off the mount to wash it manually. I've observed that any carpet that the robot touches will be in contact with the rough Velcro like fastener on mounts, which can cause scratches.
The S8 Pro Ultra has a number of smart capabilities that include support for Google Home, Amazon Alexa and Siri. The Roborock app lets you manage and set up these features. It also has maps and advanced mopping options. The app also allows you to schedule cleanings, monitor the life of batteries and maintenance on components. You'll need to jump through a series of steps to activate voice control on this model. It's a shame considering the performance otherwise.
3. Dreame X40

The Dreame X40 robot vacuum and mop is a leader in the industry with its innovative features, top suction power, and advanced mopping capabilities. Its intelligent design allows you to customize and efficiently clean while reducing time.
The X40 is the first robot vacuum cleaner that can deliver 12,000 Pascals of cleaning power, which makes it one of the most effective alternatives available. This powerful vacuum is able to clean up pet hair dust, crumbs and any other dry debris. It comes with a mop that is top quality that cleans hard floors without the need for pads. The X40 is also very quiet while in use, with only occasional bursts during modes changes or self-maintenance.
Another notable feature is the X40's expandable and liftable side brush, which allows it to get into difficult-to-access corners and clean furniture such as table and chairs' legs. It also lets the robot to get under furniture that is low-profile which makes it a great option for apartments or condos with tight spaces. The side brush automatically tilts down when detecting wet spots. This is a nice addition that assists the X40 to avoid causing damage to floors by the frequent back-and-forth movement.
Contrary to other robots which solely focus on one task, the X40 can perform mopping and vacuuming simultaneously or individually. It can also be programmed to avoid areas with carpets and mop only hard floors or vice versa. It can be controlled via the Dreame app or by using Alexa, Siri, and Google Home to ensure a smooth voice-controlled operation.
The app is simple to use and understand The X40 comes with a variety of smart features that are simple to install. Users can program the X40 to clean at specific times, adjust suction power and mode, look at mapping and floor plans and manage mopping settings. The X40 will also monitor its progress and notify you when it is finished.
The X40 is easy to maintain and comes with many convenient features which make it a good choice for busy families. The docking station will automatically cleans the dustbin and the mop pads and refill them with fresh cleaning solution and water. It also can detect when the mop pad is overflowing and alert you before it overflows, thus reducing the necessity for manual maintenance.
4. L20 Ultra
The L20 Ultra robot is one of the most expensive models on the market. However, it has a number of features that make it stand out. Smart DuoScrub, which is a new feature of its mop heads, makes use of two mop heads with high-speed motors to scrub floors more thoroughly. It also has a maximum suction force of 7,000Pa. This is more than the Roborock S8 Pro Ultra or Ecovacs Deebot T20 Omni, and it can remove pet hair and small dirt particles and also pick up spills and wet spots.
Its mops are also cleaned and dried inside the base station after every use. This is a great feature as it stops the growth of odours and mould in storage, and also makes the mop system a lot more efficient. This is a feature we haven't seen in other robot vacuum and mop models. It could be a great method to keep your home clean longer.
There are a lot of options, including the option to schedule cleaning times and adjust preferences. These can be set via the app, or via direct buttons on the unit itself. The app is easy to use and provides a variety of options for customizing the cleaning routine, and there are many features that other robots do not include, for instance, the Clean Genius mode that automatically increases suction power whenever it detects dust particles instead of using an individual setting.
The L20 Ultra has a stylish design that has a white-and-metallic look that looks elegant and sophisticated. It's heavier than the other two-in-one robots on this list - at around 4kg - but it's not obscenely heavy either, and it feels sturdy and well-built. The mopping system is also well designed, and the double rotating mop works well on hard floors or in corners. The MopExtend feature allows them to reach even 2mm below the baseboards.
